List of household effects of David Isaac van Cleef . and his family

Graphic pictures of the Holocaust often tell such harrowing stories. But sometimes it takes just an inventory list of every day items, that are more shocking, because it tells the story of people like you and I. They ate the same food, wore the same clothes, used the same cups and plates. It was only because a group of men who determined they they were somehow different, a lesser class of human being. However it was those men who were really the unter mensch.

The can Cleef family were; David Isaac van Cleef. Occupation: Diamond polisher, aged 37. Marianne van Cleef-Pinto. Occupation: Seamstress, aged 39. And Frederica van Cleef, student, aged 14. They were all murdered on July 16,1943 in Sobibor

Below is the list of all their belongings, which undoubtedly would have been given to Nazi supporters or sold with the proceeds going to the Nazi regime.
