Every now and then I like to post music from young talented. This wonderful piece is titled Winter Sunrise by Lennart Büchner.
“Winter Sunrise” is inspired by the painting “Winterlandschaft” (Winter Landscape) by Caspar David Friedrich. In the painting, you see a lone wanderer standing in a desolate landscape, surrounded by nothing but snow and fragmented trees.
But unlike the original, I imagined the birth of a majestic sunrise slowly lighting up the cold scene, bit by bit.
The EP reflects on the feeling of isolation from three different perspectives.
This modern classical / neoclassical instrumental piece involves many layers of violoncello, piano, synthesizers and soft percussion. It is my first attempt to show what’s possible within these genres, which are often perceived solely as background music.
Produced at the IMM (Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf) and released with Nordic Euphony Records.
