I am a Dutch man living in Ireland.
Originally from a small former mining town called Geleen in the province of Limburg in the Netherlands.
I moved to Limerick in Ireland in November 1997 and have lived here ever since.
I am passionate about history, movies and music.
History of Sorts is a site with historical articles and blogs. The majority concern the World War II era, but there are also blogs on music, movies and even serial killers. So overall quite a good mix of stories.
Although a good deal of it will be my own input. I do use other sources to compile stories to have the broadest overview. I am not a historian or an expert, just someone who is interested in history
I have also written two books and I am in the process of writing my third novel, which is fictional but ties in with World War II and the Holocaust.
Due to the constant blocking of Social Media outlets, it is getting increasingly difficult for me to post my blogs. So please subscribe to my website is free

I shared your blog about 9/11 having just finished watching the documentary by the French filmmakers. I didn’t remember the name of the priest or the whole story but your capture of these details serves as an excellent reminder. I hope you are ok with my sharing your blog tomorrow.
