Optics and perception

I noticed something this morning which I hadn’t noticed before. While I was driving towards the direction of city centre, I noticed 2 cranes in the distance. They appeared to be standing near Thomond Park stadium.
However, there are no cranes near Thomond park.

As I drove on a bit more , I noticed the position of the cranes had moved slightly to the left.
Then it dawned on me they were the cranes which are currently at the ‘Opera Square’ building site in city centre, several miles away from Thomond Park.
Clearly the initial optics had given me a wrong perception of the position of the cranes.
The point I’m making is this:
Sometimes, we perceive things one way, only to realize later—after examining all the facts—that reality is quite different.

In today’s world, many people accept what they see from a single vantage point as the absolute truth. They form opinions based on emotions and perception rather than a full understanding of the facts. However, the reality may be entirely different from what they believe to be true.

Facts matter. Think critically, question assumptions, and seek a broader perspective.
