The Human side of WW2

This blog contains pictures depicting the Human side of World War 2. Among all the destruction and evil there were moments of compassion, let us never forget about that.

  1. The photo of German personnel are actually troopers with the 20th Waffen Grenadier Division of the Waffen SS, Ist Estonian. The men to the right have that units distinctive collar tab of an arm with sword and a stylized E. On the right lower shoulder is their national shield, a regular feature for all foreign nationals serving in collaborationist legions. The fellow on the left maybe be German SS cadre.
