Six-Day War (1967) and Yom Kippur War (1973): Arab-Israeli conflicts over territorial disputes.
Soviet-Afghan War (1979–1989): Soviet intervention in Afghanistan to support the communist government against insurgent groups.
1990–2001: Post-Cold War Conflicts
Gulf War (1990–1991): A coalition led by the U.S. expelled Iraqi forces from Kuwait.

Iraq War (2003–2011): U.S.-led invasion to overthrow Saddam Hussein, leading to prolonged insurgency.
